A new place to discover!

This ancestral home has been transformed to welcome visitors wishing to learn more about the heritage of Laval and Quebec by immersing themselves in the past through a range of activities.

Permanent exhibition

Listen - the walls have a tale to tell!

This exhibition takes you into the history of the house and its illustrious owner, André-Benjamin-Papineau. Through artifacts, interactive elements, audio narratives and videos, discover the daily life of the 19th century. The tour is available as a self-guided or guided tour, by reservation.
Temporary exhibition

House built - Tradesmen and Their Trades: Shaping the André-Benjamin-Papineau House

Until spring 2027. This temporary exhibition highlights the artisans who shaped Maison André-Benjamin-Papineau. Traditional trades, antique tools and construction techniques are featured. The tour is available as a self-guided or guided tour, by reservation.
