In accordance with Bill 25 of the Government of Quebec, Maison André-Benjamin-Papineau, also known as “MABP” (hereinafter referred to as “the House”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to respecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information.

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) outlines our privacy practices, the types of Personal Information we may collect, and how we use, disclose, store and protect it, so that you can make informed choices.

This Policy applies to our website (the “Site”) accessible at https://www.maisonabp.ca/, as well as to our database. However, please note that the rights and obligations set forth in this Policy do not apply to third-party websites that may be linked to or mentioned on our Site. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies, which we invite you to consult carefully.

Personal information collected on our Site will be used only for the purposes set out in this Policy. It is used to :

Depending on the circumstances, MABP may aggregate and anonymize the Personal Information provided in order to produce statistical data. This data, which does not contain any Personally Identifiable Information, may be used for secondary purposes such as market research, to improve its Site, analyze trends, respond to statistical requests from partners or develop machine learning algorithms.

How personal information is used

MABP does not rent or sell your Personal Information. We will only be shared with third parties without your consent if required by law or in the specific circumstances outlined below.

We have no control over these third-party sites and accept no responsibility for your use of them, including browsing, registration or any other exchange of information. Certain features of our Site - such as online reservations or payments - are made possible by Zeffy, an external service provider mandated by MABP to process transactions securely. Zeffy uses industry best practices to secure the data collected, including SSL/TLS encryption for data transmissions. Credit card information, such as card number, expiration date and CVV code, is collected only for payment processing and is not retained beyond what is necessary.

Furthermore, when a user subscribes to our newsletter via a form integrated with Zeffy, consent is managed directly by this platform, which ensures registration in accordance with its own compliance practices.

How long we keep your personal information

Personal information will be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes or as required by law. Once this period has elapsed, we undertake to destroy or anonymize this information. The retention period is determined by the amount, nature and sensitivity of the Personal Information, and the risks associated with unauthorized use or disclosure. We also take into account the purposes for which we process such information and the possibility of achieving those purposes by other means, while complying with applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.

In addition, you may request the deletion of your account and the downloading of your data at any time by contacting the person responsible for the protection of personal information.

How we protect your personal information

To ensure the security of your personal information, we use secure encryption technology (Secure Socket Layer or SSL). We adhere to recognized security standards to protect data transmitted to us, both during transmission and after receipt. This information is accessible only to our employees, who are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

Although we implement all reasonable measures to protect the security of user data and the confidentiality of your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy:

The Site is intended only for persons 14 years of age or older. MABP reserves the right to revise, update, or supplement this Privacy Policy at its discretion. If significant changes are made, you will be informed the next time you log in, and/or we will send you a link to the new version of the Policy. The updated version of the Policy will be posted on our Site. We ask our users to review and accept the revised Policy before continuing to use our Site. By continuing to use the Site after the update, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the current version of the Policy.
