Since 2019, the Association des entrepreneurs en maçonnerie du Québec (AEMQ) has been presenting the Murus awards at the Rendez-vous de la maçonnerie. Born of a discussion with architect André Bourassa, the Murus awards aim to showcase Quebec industry contractors and innovative masonry projects.
At the presentation of the winners on March 20, 2025, Maison André-Benjamin-Papineau took the prize in the Heritage Restoration under $500,000 category. Evaluation criteria included the quality, creativity and execution of the work; demonstration of the team's experience, knowledge and skills on the project; technical challenges; and respect for values that reflect the building's past, present and sustainable future.
