Talk | History of Laval: From the 1965 mergers to social and cultural diversification

Bibliothèques de Laval invite you to this lecture by historian Gilles Laporte on the history of Laval, which was born as a demographic and economic giant. For many years, it was Quebec's second-largest city. Despite its proximity to Montreal, Laval has developed its own industrial, commercial, cultural and university hubs, while preserving its terroir. It has also succeeded in reinventing its municipal life, focused on the well-being of its population.

Discover all the activities offered by Laval's libraries to celebrate the city's 60th anniversary here.
