The Art of Improvisation: Bringing Your Characters to Life

Want to explore your creativity in a new way? This introductory workshop opens the door to theatrical improvisation in a welcoming and accessible environment, perfect for the curious as well as those looking to reconnect with play.

Guided by Daphnée Bérubé, an actress trained at UQAM with over 17 years of experience, you will be supported every step of the way through a human-centered approach focused on authenticity, enjoyment, and confidence.

Throughout the session, you will move from short warm-up exercises to exploring characters inspired by your impulses in the moment. You will learn to react spontaneously, bring your ideas to life, and create scenes in collaboration with other participants, leading up to a more developed final improvisation.

There is no competition here, just discovery, enjoyment, and the pleasure of creating together. It is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the present moment and let your imagination run free.
