Louis Cantin, witness to two changing worlds

In the 19th century, Louis Cantin left his rural home to settle in the suburbs of Montreal. It's a story that might seem insignificant, but thousands of French-Canadians lived through this era of profound transformation. Joanne Burgess, a professor in the history department at UQAM, now retired, takes us on a journey to retrace this man's steps, and to immerse ourselves in the richness and complexity of rural life at the time.
